Keto Blackberry Smoothie
Beat the summer heat with this refreshing blackberry smoothie. The recipe contains frozen berries, heavy cream and cream cheese for fats and creaminess, almond milk, and ice. It is sweetened with powdered erythritol, but any other powdered or liquid sweetener should work. Steer away from granulated sweeteners as they might not dissolve well in this drink.
Should you use frozen or fresh fruit in Keto blackberry recipes?
This depends on the type of recipe you’re preparing and whether blackberries are in season or not. To achieve the best cooling effect, we recommend using frozen blackberries instead of fresh ones. You can also place the almond milk and heavy cream in the freezer for 30 minutes before preparation. This ensures that the final product is extra refreshing.
When can you serve this smoothie?
This Keto blackberry smoothie is the perfect breakfast option for warm days to keep you hydrated for a long time. It is also a great pre/post-workout meal, providing sustainable energy and electrolytes. Feel free to add protein powder to this low-carb drink to assist in muscle recovery.
Can you adapt this recipe to a vegan or dairy-free diet?
Absolutely! You can swap the heavy cream for canned coconut milk and the cream cheese for vegan cream cheese, silken tofu, or coconut yogurt.
Can you switch the blackberries for other berries? Yes! It’s always fun to try new variations of recipes. Strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries are suitable substitutes in this recipe because they go well with cream cheese. You can also use a mix of all three berries. Feel free to add lemon or lime zest and juice for an extra kick.

Yummy. I used only coconut cream and coconut water and a little maple syrup for sweetener.

I loved this smoothie. How do I subtract the almond milk & sugar? I didn’t use any sweetener and I substituted water for almond milk.

The taste wasn't very good and I think that's because of the texture. Next time I will try to simply mix all the ingredients apart from the milk, like a bowl of cereal and drink the milk separately.

Flavor was good but I didn’t like all the seeds! Too thick to sieve out the seeds. Won’t make again.

You could add water to it. Shouldn't mess with anything but thin it out
