Step 1
Slice the steak very thin against the grain. I like to keep extra steak frozen on hand. When I am ready to use it I will defrost it halfway and cut it slightly frozen. You are able to slice steak very thin this way!Step 2
Prep the veggies by cutting the bell pepper into 1” x 1” pieces, slice the mushrooms in ¼” thickness and mince the ginger and garlic.Step 3
In a large nonstick saute pan, heat the pan until it is very HOT. Add half of the avocado oil and heat for a few seconds. Add the ginger and garlic and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the steak and leave undisturbed for 1-2 minutes to form a good sear turning the heat down to medium-high as necessary. Then stir the steak and add the coconut aminos. Cook it the rest of the way. Remove to a plate.Step 4
Heat the other half of the avocado oil in the pan, adding the mushrooms and a pinch of salt first and getting those nice and browned about 3 minutes.Step 5
Add the red bell peppers and cook for about 1-2 minutes making sure they are slightly cooked but still crunchy.Step 6
Add the snow peas and stir fry for 45 seconds-1 minute.Step 7
Add the steak back to the pan and cook on HIGH heat until most of the liquid evaporates. Stirring frequently. Add the red pepper flakes. Once the liquid has evaporated, turn off the heat and stir in the sesame seed oil. Taste and adjust with more salt as necessary. Serve hot!
