Keto Christmas Green Beans
These easy green beans are packed with festive flavors and make a great Keto Christmas side option. Our simple green beans are part cooked until just tender, then sautéed with orange juice and zest, dried cranberries, aromatic thyme and crunchy almond flakes. These make a great vegetable side dish to accompany your low carb Christmas mains.
Can I Make This Without the Nuts?
We have added flaked almonds to our Keto green beans for added texture and flavor. If you are on a nut-free diet then you can simply omit the almonds. If tolerated, you may swap the almonds for some seeds, such as pumpkin or sunflower. If you would like to use a different nut, we suggest pecans or walnuts, as these will perfectly complement the festive flavors.
Can I Make This Dairy-Free?
We have sautéed our green beans in a generous helping of butter to add a richness to this Christmas Keto recipe. If you would like to make the recipe dairy-free, you can swap this for coconut oil or olive oil. Please be sure to adjust your macros to account for any changes made to the original recipe.
