Keto Nacho Chips

5 ratings

Our Keto nacho chip recipe is packed with flavor! These Keto nacho chips are made using melted mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, and coconut flour. The dough is spread smoothly onto a baking sheet and then baked until golden brown. Each piece is cut into a triangle and baked a second time to crisp. They are the perfect pairing for any guacamole or our Keto nacho cheese sauce. You could even sprinkle these with a dash of cayenne or chipotle pepper powder for a fun kick.

These would also be the ultimate chips to complete your Keto nacho recipes.

What is the best cheese to use?

The best cheese to use is any shredded cheese that melts very easily. So feel free to use Chihuahua cheese as we have in the recipe as well as cheeses like mozzarella or mild cheddar.

How long do these chips store?

Due to the high moisture content of these chips, they do not retain their crispness. So please plan ahead to eat these the day of cooking.

Can I use these chips to make nachos?

Yes! Our Keto Nacho chips are awesome for making beef nachos!

Recipe Steps

  • Step 1

Preheat an oven to 350 F. Prepare a rimmed baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper. If using parchment paper, spray the paper with an avocado-based non-stick cooking spray. In a microwave-safe mixing bowl, add shredded cheese and cream cheese. Melt in the microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

Give everything a good stir. If it is not completely melted, add it back into the microwave for another 20-30 seconds. Stir again. Add raw egg white and coconut flour and stir well. You can use pasteurized liquid egg white for this recipe to make it easier.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Divide the dough equally in half. Scoop dough into the prepared baking sheet and spread the dough using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon into a thin oblong shape. You want the dough spread as thin as possible without being see-through.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

Bake the dough for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Then remove them from the baking sheet and cut the dough pieces into strips. Then cut each strip into triangles. Place the triangle onto the same baking sheet and bake again at 300 F for 20 minutes until the chips are golden brown and crispy.

Can the coconut flour be swapped for almond flour? Or any other sub than coconut?

Yes, just re-enter it into the calculator. When I swap an ingredient I enter each one separately.

I buy keto friendly tortillas and cut them up in triangles and sprinkle with nacho cheese seasoning and bake at 350 until brown. Let them cool and they will be crispy. You can add any seasoning on top . Easy

I do this also with ranch seasoning but they still don't end up quite as crispy as a regular chip

I do this too. I will brush oil or butter on them and then top with seasoning, cut and then bake.

I like this recipe, the queso cheese does melt nicely and these do not taste like cheese chips. I did roll these between 2 oiled parchment papers which helped get a nice thin layer. I found that edges browned a lot faster so I may try to cook at a lower temp for longer next time.
