Keto Easy Tempeh Marinade

This incredibly easy Vegan Keto tempeh recipe is a simple marinade that adds a lot of flavor to your Vegan products. Tempeh is specifically good to use with the marinade, but you can use it with other ingredients as well. The soy sauce base will seep deep into the dense soybean tempeh product. A little Worcestershire sauce and garlic will flavor your tempeh too. To make things sweet, you’ll use Keto-friendly brown sugar-flavored erythritol. There’s really no limit on how long you can use the marinade when you add it to tempeh as well. You can marinate tempeh for as long as overnight if you wish.

Is tempeh Keto?

Tempeh is Keto-friendly and Vegan. It’s made of fermented soybeans that are packed into a dense cake. Not only is tempeh low in carbs, but it’s a good source of protein. For those on any special diets aside from Keto, this can be really helpful. Keto tempeh recipes are easy to make because tempeh is super easy to slice, dice, fry, bake, grill, or cook in any way you like.

What is tempeh?

Soybeans are fermented with a special fungus from Indonesia. It may sound a little strange, but tempeh tastes very mild, similar to tofu. In fact, you can marinate it and cook it in many ways like tofu as well. When prepared properly, tempeh can serve as a Vegan substitution for ground meat, taco filling, and even bacon.

How else can I use this recipe?

Since this is a marinade recipe, you do not have to use it exclusively with tempeh. Use this marinade on other meat substitution products (if you’re Vegan), vegetables, or tofu. Remember if you use full-sodium soy sauce, you won’t want to add additional salt to the food you are marinating. However, you can use this recipe as a base and add other seasonings or spices that you’d like to use.

    Gather the ingredients for the recipe, and include other ingredients that you would like to marinate your tempeh in. Treat this as a basic tempeh marinade recipe that you can modify as needed. You can reduce your sodium by choosing a low-sodium soy sauce too.

    Combine all of the ingredients in a dish and whisk them together. Whisk until you see the brown sugar dissolve. Before you use the marinade, you’ll want to whisk it back together again.
