5-Ingredient Keto Pumpkin Pie Hummus
This Keto dessert hummus has all the flavors of a pumpkin pie with a fraction of the effort. It is sweet and nutty, perfect as a dip or filling. The hummus is quick and easy to make, using 5 ingredients only. Other than soaking the cashews, you only need 5 minutes of active time to prepare this pumpkin hummus. It is an excellent addition to gatherings when paired with Low-Carb fruits and snacks.
Is hummus Keto?
Traditional hummus is made primarily of chickpeas, which are not Keto-friendly. All the remaining ingredients are Low-Carb and compliment the texture and flavor of the hummus. This hummus uses cashews instead of chickpeas, making for the ultimate replacement. It is pumpkin flavored, containing pumpkin puree, spice, maple-flavored syrup, and tahini.
What to eat with pumpkin spice hummus?
Since this dip is sweet, you can eat it with Low-Carb fruits like strawberries or raspberries. You can also dip some Keto cookies in the hummus or fill a Low-Carb pie crust with it. In our opinion, the best way to eat this Keto hummus is straight by the spoonful.
How to choose the right canned pumpkin puree?
When shopping for pumpkin puree, look out for labels and ingredient lists. Avoid all “pumpkin pie filling” labels as they usually contain added sugars. Stick to brands containing pumpkin only. For maximum health benefits, choose an organic brand. Canned pumpkin puree saves you time with many recipes like this one, but you can make your own puree if preferred.
Can you prepare this dessert hummus beforehand?
Unfortunately, no! Soaking cashews reduces their shelf life immensely. This is why it is best to consume the pumpkin pie hummus within one day.

Water and salt are considered staple ingredients and thus are not counted in the 5 ingredients.

Is there any option for a substitute for cashews in this recipe?
