Keto Hot Fried Chicken Stacks
Check out this Keto recipe if you’re trying to please a group of people. Perfect for parties, get-togethers, after-school munchies, etc. these hot fried chicken stacks are finger-licking good. Thinking of making a Keto Superbowl side dish? All the hungry fans will be pleased. Instead of fried in batter, chicken cubes are fried in brown mustard. You’d never know it, but fried mustard makes the perfect crunchy coating with tons of flavor for any protein dish. Stacked with the fried chicken is your choice of pickle chips and squares of cheddar cheese. A dash of hot sauce ties all the ingredients together, but you can leave some stacks without the hot sauce for those who don’t like things too hot. Each stack is served on a toothpick, so munch away!
What type of hot sauce to use
You could use Tabasco sauce, but it’s recommended you choose something specifically labeled as “hot sauce”. You may also choose bottles labeled “wing sauce”, but make sure there are no added sugars. As for the brand, the choice is yours. Look for hot sauce in the condiment section at the grocery store.
Other mustard you can use
It’s recommended you choose brown or spicy brown mustard for the recipe. Other mustard you may use for this recipe is honey mustard, dijon, or yellow mustard. Think of what will compliment your chicken and the pickles you choose.
What type of pickles to use
It is best that you use pickle chips for the recipe. However, you could also cut spears into small chunks if needed. Avoid flavors like ‘bread and butter’ pickle chips that have extra sugar added. Choose gherkins or savory-flavored pickle chips. Make sure to check the nutrition label for the carbs per serving.

Step 1
Cut raw chicken breast into small cubes, then add them to a mixing bowl. Add the mustard to the bowl, and stir the chicken until it’s coated in the mustard. If the mustard is too thick, add some olive oil to the mixture to help spread it.Step 2
Heat a non-stick pan on high heat, then add the chicken to the pan. Cook the chicken on one side until it browns and naturally releases from the pan. Gently toss the chicken in the pan as the mustard browns until the chicken cooks through.Step 3
Give the chicken time to cool - at least 15 minutes. Grab your pickle chips, and cut the cheddar cheese into ⅛-inch thick squares. Use toothpicks to make each stack and include two pieces of chicken, a pickle chip, and a piece of cheese. Drizzle about ¼ teaspoon of hot sauce over the stack to serve.
