Eco-Keto Choc and Tahini Morning Protein Shake

Start the day with a satisfying gulp of this creamy chocolate and tahini-flavored shake! Blended with frozen avocados, it’s really the secret to a silky smooth Keto breakfast shake, not to mention a great way to also get your fats in on an eco-Keto diet plan.

This Keto breakfast idea is better when shared, so double the recipe quantity for you and your plus one as it’s a winner among the low-carb crowd, non-Keto-ers and those following an eco-Keto diet since there are zero animal-based ingredients.

Here are some hints and tips for your Keto chocolate and tahini morning shake:

Freezing your avocados is a great tip for making your smoothie extra creamy. Just make sure to remove the skin and stone and cut them into pieces before placing them in freezer bags. You’ll also need a blender or food processor with a powerful motor, so ensure your blender can handle ice cubes and frozen avocado. If not, use crushed ice and fresh avocado for an easier blend.

Can you still make this without frozen avocado?

Yes, of course, it will still taste just as great and create a silky smooth texture.

Do you have to use protein powder?

You do not need to use protein powder in order to make this Keto shake. You can simply omit entirely or add another tablespoon of tahini or even substitute with 1 teaspoon flax seeds.

Are there any other ingredient substitutions?

You can easily substitute the tahini for almond butter or peanut butter for another flavor variation.

The vanilla-flavoured unsweetened almond milk can also be swapped out for plain unsweetened almond milk, coconut milk or dairy milk if your diet permits. If you don't have a Keto syrup, you can use any Keto-friendly sweetener of choice.

Did you make too much? Or can’t finish it?

No problem, you can freeze the leftovers in a silicone ice-cube tray and blend up the next time.

I followed the recipe but God I didn't like the shake at all 🤢, it needs sweetness or something. Any suggestions?

Just add as much erythritol as you like for sweetness
