Bananas are very high in carbs and are not allowed on the Keto diet. However, you can still enjoy a slice of your favorite banana bread and stay within your carb limit. With just a few modifications, we have created the best vegan Keto banana bread, which is naturally egg and dairy-free. It is a fantastic addition to your afternoon tea or coffee or an excellent snack you can enjoy whenever you want. This Keto vegan banana bread can be stored in air-tight containers for up to 5 days and still taste great.
Are vegan desserts Keto-friendly?
Like any other Keto dessert recipe, vegan Keto desserts can be made with low-carb ingredients and keep you within your daily carb limit.
Can I use coconut oil instead of vegan butter?
Coconut oil would also work for this recipe. You will need the same amount as butter.
Can I make this Keto banana bread with eggs?
Yes, you can use eggs for this recipe. You would need 4 large eggs. However, we don't recommend experimenting with other egg substitutes, such as chia eggs. It will completely change the texture of this bread.

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Add the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and xanthan gum to a large bowl. Mix until fully combined.Step 2
Add the flaxseed and water to a small bowl. Using a fork or a spoon, mix to combine. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes.Step 3
Microwave the butter until completely melted. Add the butter to a large bowl along with erythritol. Using a hand mixer with whisking attachments, beat until fully incorporated.Step 4
Add the flaxseed mixture and continue to beat until combined. This should take about 2 minutes. The mixture will not be fully incorporated at this point, but that's completely normal.Step 5
Add the dry ingredients. With a hand mixer on medium speed, continue to beat until fully incorporated. You will need about 3 minutes to get a nicely combined mixture.Step 6
Stir in half of the chopped walnuts using a rubber spatula. Optionally, you can add some other low-carb nuts or avoid them altogether. Some cashews or chopped almonds would be great.Step 7
Line an 8.5x4.5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper. Transfer the dough to the pan. Using a rubber spatula, smooth the surface as evenly as possible. Sprinkle the remaining walnuts on top.Step 8
Bake for 35 minutes, until the top is golden. Remove from the oven and cover with foil. Continue to bake for 25 more minutes.Step 9
When done, remove from the oven and cool to room temperature. Carefully remove the banana bread from the pan and cool completely before slicing. This Keto vegan banana bread is great for your afternoon tea or coffee.
