AIP Nori Chips
These nori chips are an excellent healthy option to snack on. They are crunchy, umami, guilt-free, and most importantly, can be prepared in under 15 minutes. This recipe is one of the best AIP snacks to serve at movie nights, friend gatherings, and events.
Is nori AIP friendly?
Nori is dried seaweed, and it is completely fine on an AIP diet as long as it doesn’t contain additives and preservatives. However, you have to be careful with the other ingredients you use. Not all oils are AIP-friendly, especially those extracted from seeds or nuts. Stick to olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil.
How can you flavor these nori chips?
Since seaweed has a fishy flavor, not all spices and flavorings pair well. Garlic powder and salt are delicious in this recipe and are AIP compliant. Onion powder would also work here. Avoid using spices from seeds or the nightshade family as these aren’t AIP-compliant.
What to serve with these chips?
These savory chips are the perfect snack to munch on. They are delicious on their own, but you can dip them in your choice of AIP-friendly sauce or dressing.
How to store leftovers?
To keep these chips crispy, store them in an airtight container with the silica gel packs that came with the nori sheets. These packs will absorb all the moisture and prevent them from getting soggy. This way, these chips will stay fresh for a couple of days.

Bake for 8-10 minutes until crispy. Keep an eye on them as they can burn quickly and become bitter. Let them cool before serving!
