Step 1
Dice the chicken and pork sausage into small pieces. Combine these in a large skillet with chopped ham, and cook on medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes, until the meat is all cooked through. The juices from the chicken and pork should eliminate the need for a cooking oil.Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, pepper, and red pepper.Step 3
Pour the egg mixture into the skillet with the meat, and cook on medium heat until the eggs are to your preferred doneness. Use the spatula to continually scramble the eggs.Step 4
In the final stage of cooking, sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the eggs so it melts.Step 5
Serve the meat lover’s scramble with freshly chopped chives!

Great recipe. Our family does something similar to this so it was a welcome reminder. We added a 3oz mixed colored bell peppers for balance..,We used lower sodium sausage & bacon. A delicious treat and always a favorite.

Can you only use egg whites

You can modify any recipe you want. Just make sure to edit it in the app accordingly so your macros show accurately. Just remember fats are important

How do you edit it to substitute bacon for the chicken?
megangreenwood917f78 4 years ago
Copy the recipe to "my foods" then you can make any ingredient changes or substitutions and have the more accurate nutrition information

You will need to add the ingredients individually to your food log if you want to make any ingredient changes to the recipes.

This recipe was super Duper filling! Adjust serving(s) accordingly. I did not notice you could do that until after I had made it! Thank goodness I made it with less ingredients or I would’ve gone way over on my nutrition for the day! My idea of a comfort breakfast although I used two eggs instead of four & 1oz sausage (1 patty) because I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat all of it! I weighed 2 ounces of chopped rotisserie chicken that I keep on hand in sandwich bags in the freezer. I don’t like red pepper flakes so I omitted that.

What’s the point of bashing someone’s food recipe when so many others love it. Save the drama for an audience who listens to you. 🙄

Turkey sausage and chicken bacon
recipewriter 6 years ago
You can substitute any protein with meats more suited to your taste. However, you will be losing most of the fat, since a majority of the fat macros in this recipe comes from the pork sausage. You can add some heavy cream to your eggs before cooking to bring some fat back into the meal.

Just noticed we can adjust the serving size to one. This way we can only cook for what we need 👍🏼👍🏼 ‘Cause if I cook / I eat it all 😛

Yes, I didn’t see that tip because it’s a really old recipe. I ate it all. Good news is I didn’t eat lunch because I was still full so it worked perfectly.
