Keto Egg Fast Limeade Shake
This egg fast shake recipe is one for the books! Softened cream cheese is blended with fresh eggs, water, monk fruit sweetener, and packets of real lime juice. The result is a creamy protein-packed shake that is sweet and filling. Feel free to adjust the ratio of eggs and cheese to fit your nutritional needs on the egg fast diet.
Why are packets of real lime juice used?
Dehydrated lime juice contains zero net carbs, making it an excellent ingredient to add flavor with no calories or carbs. However, feel free to use two small lime wedges instead, as the amount of net carbs added is also minimal.
What type of eggs should you use?
If you are not concerned about salmonella, use pasture-raised eggs. Otherwise, you can use pasteurized whole eggs for this recipe since it is not heated.
What special equipment do you need to make the shake?
An immersion blender, small blender, or small food processor is necessary for this recipe. Otherwise, you can use plenty of elbow grease and a whisk instead!
