  • Step 1

Prepare the string cheese by dividing each piece in half. You should have 24 pieces.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

In one bowl, crack and whisk an egg. In a second bowl, sift and combine the parmesan cheese, almond flour, salt, pepper, and oregano.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Prepare a sheet tray with wax paper. One by one, dip each piece of string cheese in the egg and then in the flour mixture. Place each breaded cheese stick on the sheet tray. When all the cheese sticks are breaded, set them in the freezer for at least 6 hours.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

When it’s time to cook the mozzarella sticks, heat 2 cups of vegetable oil in a large skillet. When the oil is hot, drop the frozen mozzarella sticks in the skillet. Cook for 30-60 seconds per side, and allow them to drain on a paper towel to soak up excess grease. Enjoy hot!

The brand I use is called Pork King Good, because I live in a really small town and our two tiny grocery stores didn’t carry them so I went online to a sight that so order from often and that was the brand that they carried. The name of the sight is Netrician.com but I think that they have been bought out by Bariatripal.
