Keto Naan Bread with Melted Garlic Butter

7 ratings

If you love cheese, you will love our Keto naan bread recipe with melted garlic butter! Mozzarella and cream cheese are melted together. To that mixture, egg white is added as well as coconut flour. The dough is spread thinly onto a silicone mat and baked until golden brown and puffy. The final Keto bread is spread with a melted garlic butter mixture transforming it into the best Keto garlic bread.

How long does this bread last?

Our Keto bread is best eaten immediately or on the day of making. It can be stored in the fridge for up to three days but will need to be reheated in the oven to revive some of the soft texture.

What is the best butter to use?

We prefer to use grass-fed butter as it is higher in Omega-3 fatty acids.

Do I have to use mozzarella?

You can use any shredded white cheese that melts well. We also like to make this recipe using Chihuahua cheese for a fuller flavor.

Recipe Steps

  • Step 1

Preheat an oven to 350 F. Prepare a rimmed baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper. If using parchment paper, spray the paper with an avocado-based non-stick cooking spray. In a microwave-safe mixing bowl, add shredded cheese and cream cheese. Melt in the microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds.
    Step 1
  • Step 2

Give it a good stir. If it is not completely melted, add it back into the microwave for another 20-30 seconds. Stir again. Add raw egg white and coconut flour and stir well. You can use pasteurized liquid egg white for this recipe to make it easier.
    Step 2
  • Step 3

Divide the dough equally in half. Scoop dough into the prepared baking sheet and spread the dough using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon into the shape of naan bread (oblong and not perfectly smooth on the edges). Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until nicely golden brown.
    Step 3
  • Step 4

While the naan is baking, prepare the melted garlic butter. Melt the butter in a small bowl along with the minced garlic. You can do this in a small saucepan or in the microwave on high for 30 seconds. Once the bread exits the oven, spread the bread with garlic butter. Serve immediately.

It might just be me, but I am not finding butter or garlic on the ingredients list.... pretty sure I can figure that part out on my own, but thought I would mention.

Apparently we add those macros in separate from the recipe?
