Keto Lemonade Electrolyte Drink
Whether you’re feeling Keto flu symptoms, or adjusting to an IF routine, make a quick Keto electrolyte drink recipe to help you feel better! Symptoms of the Keto flu include tiredness, nausea, muscle weakness - all very similar to what you feel when the typical flu is coming on. Making Keto electrolyte drink recipes every week, whether you feel in tip-top shape or not, is a good way to help keep yourself healthy and in a better position to stay immune to those symptoms.
What goes into this Keto electrolyte beverage?
Drinking clean water with a healthy pH level can help you feel better, but an electrolyte drink can target these specific symptoms. This easy Keto lemonade is super simple, but just a few alterations are made to add electrolytes. Apple cider vinegar and a pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt turn your refreshing glass of lemonade into a healthy part of your diet.
What do electrolytes do?
Keto electrolyte drink recipes aren’t just for the sports enthusiasts out there! Everyone needs electrolytes because they help balance internal pH, regulate circulatory functions, and support heart health. Staying hydrated helps these functions too, but adding electrolytes is like turbo-charging your water. If you’re feeling dizzy, fatigued, or cramps, a Keto electrolyte drink may help you.
What Keto sweeteners can you use?
You can use a variety of Keto-friendly sweeteners to sweeten your electrolyte lemonade. However, remember that even some sweeteners add net carbs to your diet, which can make your Keto flu symptoms feel even worse. Liquid stevia is the best option, but erythritol and monk fruit are known to have less aftertaste. Due to the nature of how this drink is supposed to help you, it’s not a good idea to use “dirty Keto” sweeteners like honey and agave.

Step 1
Choose a good lemon to squeeze all the juice out of into a 12-16 ounce glass. You can have an easier time squeezing out the juice if you roll the lemon between your palm and a hard surface before slicing into it. Add 12-16 ounces of cold water to the lemon juice to bring the citrus flavor to your preferred taste.Step 2
Stir all the remaining ingredients into the glass until the sweeteners and salt are dissolved. Taste the lemonade and adjust the ingredients as necessary. If you want to add more sweetener, use liquid stevia to avoid adding more carbs to the drink.Step 3
You can pour the lemonade into a chilled glass or directly over ice and drink right away or over the next hour. If this electrolyte lemonade is exposed to air for any longer, the natural acidity you’ve created in the recipe will begin to change. Enjoy whenever you are feeling low-energy, muscle weakness, or symptoms of Keto Flu.
