Keto Chorizo And Jumbo Shrimp With Spinach
A classic combination of chorizo and jumbo shrimp is paired with simply wilted spinach for this Mediterranean influenced dish.
The recipe calls for raw jumbo shrimp, heads removed but tails left on. The shrimp cook quickly in the oils released by the chorizo making this a flavorsome yet simple dish.

Ingredients
Premium Cured Pork Chorizo by El Viajero
3.7 ounce
Spinach
3 cup, cut pieces
Garlic
2 clove
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tablespoon
Gourmet Collection Smoked Paprika by Mccormick
1 tsp
Raw Tail-on Shrimp by Kirkland Signature

Step 1
Slice the chorizo into ½ inch slices. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over a medium/high heat and add the chorizo. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown all over and the oil has turned orange/red. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.Step 2
Finely slice the garlic. Reduce the heat to low and fry gently for a minute to soften, then add the prawns and smoked paprika. Stir well to combine. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the prawns have turned completely pink and are cooked through.Step 3
Return the chorizo to the pan and stir well to combine, ensuring everything is piping hot through.Step 4
Add the spinach to the pan and stir until just wilted and tender. Serve immediately.

There was something about this I just didn’t care for. First time cooking with chorizo or maybe the sautéed spinach. Super easy to make though but probably will not again. If I did, I would use kale. Spinach sautéed to me is slimy.

Lovely, not sure what people below have moaned about on the taste - it tasted exactly as you would expect for frying these things together, funny that! 1.5 portions was good for me for lunch (150g prawns, 55g chorizo, 45g spinach). A quick, easy and tasty lunch. Will definitely make again, thanks for sharing x

I wish that I’d read the reviews before making this dish. Shrimp=love, Chorizo=Love this recipe was not good and most went into the trash.

The measurements are screwy, but I was lucky to have these ingredients at the house so it was worth a shot. It’s flavorful but not filling enough to be something I’d make again

Something is wrong with the measurements or expression of portions. This calls for 23 oz or 655 gr of shrimp but yet it says it’s for 3 servings. Impossible if a serving is 2.9 oz. The combination is nice but the proportions need to be checked and then the nutrient break down. Sorry I’m reading comments after I cooked it. Too many shrimp and lost it’s flavor.

Well, my husband liked it; me, not so much. Chorizo is really oily and although I like spice, I just wasn’t crazy about this recipe. I would reconsider it though, by using another type of spicy sausage. Also, the macros portion size says 2.9 oz. That’s like 2 shrimp, so if you actually eat a lunch portion size, the carbs go way up; not worth it to me.

I broil mild Italian sausage first drain excess oil then toss with air fried shrimp as prepared. Plenty of fat in dish already.

I just made this, and it’s AWESOME! I have bronchitis, and was looking for something to break up the congestion in my head. This did it in a matter of minutes. I love chorizo, anyway, and I don’t mind the mild spicy effect with the shrimp, and the lovely spinach mixed in. Simply lovely, and I will cook this again when I am not sick.

Not only is this a waste of time and money, the measurements are completely screwy! This needs to be taken off the recipe list all together!!! DO NOT waste your time and money! Even with trying to salvage it, it taste like complete $@“/-;!
