Ultimate Keto Chocolate Frosty
This dessert is rich, decadent, and guaranteed to satisfy that chocolate craving! Not only is this dessert tasty, but it is also sugar-free, gluten-free, and vegetarian. It is a family-friendly treat that both kids and adults can enjoy.
What are some variations to this recipe?
This recipe is so versatile that you can create many flavors out of it. You can add a little bit of instant coffee to get a mocha-flavored Keto frosty or a little bit of sugar-free caramel syrup for another layer of flavor. You can also add peanut butter, frozen cherries, or peppermint extract for a perfect pairing.
What is the best chocolate to use for this Keto treat?
To limit the number of carbs and keep this recipe Keto-friendly, we are using cocoa powder. While you can use a sugar-free chocolate bar to make this Keto frosty, it usually contains more carbs. Using a chocolate bar will also increase the preparation time since you must melt it.
Can you prepare this Keto chocolate frosty beforehand?
In fact, it is better to prepare this low-carb chocolate mousse a few hours before serving it. While you can enjoy it as soon as it's ready, refrigerating it intensifies the flavors and improves texture. This Keto dessert is best eaten within a day but will last in your fridge for 3-4 days

Sometimes substitute the cocoa with chocolate protein powder and it is like mousse

I haven’t tried this yet, but the net carbs are way off. There is actually close to 1 net carb per tablespoon of heavy whipping cream which is about 12 net carbs (as Wes on High Falutin’ Low Carb YouTube would say ‘ there are no magic cows people) plus the carbs in the cocoa (which varies by brand). There are 0 net carbs in your sweetener (Lakanto, Swerve, Allulose etc). But just from the heavy whipping cream alone, you have 6 net carbs. The reason why most people think there are no carbs in whipping cream is because the laws don’t require manufacturers to report carbs if it less than 1 carb per tablespoon. (Something along those lines anyway). Do some research. Heavy whipping cream is one of those hidden hidden carbs

So easy to make pumpkin pie version- add a canned pumpkin w/o sugar to mixture. I also added nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon. Got really good feedback

It does taste good. But as the other commentator said I experienced throat burn as well. I guess these sweeteners are better used in moderation doesn’t seem healthy.

Was good, but the consistency was more like chocolate whipping cream that you’d put on a cake.

Way too sweet I had to look back at the recipe to make sure I didn’t mistake 16g of sugar for 60g.😂 The swerve in the recipe is way too much, I suggest you cut it down by more than half. I blended mine with ice cubes and intentionally left some ice pieces for a bit of crunch and omg. Even if I decide to leave keto, I’ll still substitute this recipe for ice cream. It was yummyyy!!!

I always use about half of the sweetner in every recipe or too sweet!

Love this. Mine was more of the consistency of pudding. I used Swerve for the sweetner.
