Keto Mint Chip Ice cream Sundae
This sundae is a dream come true for mint chocolate lovers. We've paired popular mint chip ice cream with a decadent mint chocolate fudge sauce for the ultimate refreshing summer dessert. The warm sauce melts the ice cream slightly, creating an irresistibly creamy treat. The added crunch from the walnuts is beautiful against the rich creaminess.
Is ice cream sundae Keto?
Most ice cream sundaes are not Keto-friendly because they're loaded with sugar and carbs. This homemade Keto ice cream sundae however, is perfectly suitable for a low-carb diet because it is prepared with sugar-free sweeteners and Keto-friendly ingredients. The mint chocolate fudge sauce is made from heavy cream, powdered erythritol, sugar-free chocolate, and peppermint extract. It is served over your choice of Keto-friendly mint chip ice cream and topped with crushed nuts.
How many sundaes can you prepare with the fudge sauce?
One serving of this Keto mint chip sundae consists of 4 tablespoons of mint chocolate fudge sauce served with 2 scoops of Keto mint chip ice cream and 1 tablespoon of chopped walnuts. This means that this sauce is enough for 3 sundaes.
How to store the remaining sauce?
Mint chocolate fudge sauce is a decadent addition to any dessert, not just ice cream. You can store the leftover sauce in a jar and keep it in the fridge. Refrigerating the sauce will cause it to solidify, but you can melt it again by placing the jar in a bowl with hot water. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then shake the jar. Pour this tasty sauce on anything you wish.
