I’m in the process of making these and I followed the directions to the tee. The dough is really crumbly and look nothing like the picture above. What is everyone doing to get them to stick together?
lindapi17 5 months ago
Maybe add a little more oil or butter.

Do they need the measure of sugar alcohol or can Stevia liquid be used to sweeten?

Tastes more like a biscuit than a cookie. Not that sweet. Maybe I made them too thin? Texture is dry

So good! I used almond flour instead of the ground almonds and swerve confectioners sugar and they cam out wonderful! Not too sweet and just a hint of tart lime.

Can I use Stevia?
lindapi17 5 months ago
If using Stevia, a liquid that is much sweeter, how much is equivalent to 1/2 cup Swerve (Erythritol) which is measured 1:1 to replace sugar in other recipes. Though I'm not sure that would effect the final outcome or texture of the cookies.

Yes.

Is it possible to use swerve for the sugar?
SuzyRocker 5 years ago
Swerve will be fine. I've been keto modified for over 2 years and used lots of sweeteners, swerve was my first one which I enjoyed but the cooling effect caused me to search out other options, golden monk fruit was by far our favorite. Try it sometime.
