Keto Strawberries with Chocolate Mousse

11 ratings

Snacks taste best when they’re super easy! This chocolate mousse only has 3 ingredients and is light and versatile. When blending the mousse together, add stevia drops to taste if you’d like some more sweetness. The mousse is paired with strawberries here, but it’s also great with other berries, nuts, coconut flakes, and more!

The mouse is a bit too bitter without any sweetener. I sprinkled a spoon of maple agave syrup and it was much better

Good when I revised and added heavy cream and sweetener.

Yeah it did not thicken SOOO I whipped some heavy cream and folded in and it was perfection. Someone mentioned using another brand of coconut milk but I don’t think that would make any difference. Would make again!

I'm not sure why we bother with w fake milk that won't whip up properly.. much better with real cream instead... liked the one mentioned below with swerve a d whip cream

Some people can’t do dairy. These types of recipes are helpful for them.

I agree I could not get to thicken, when I looked at the recipe again I read comments, mixed whipped cream into the mixture, and waalaa.

I served this to my guests and they thought I was a good chef until they tasted this soupy weird concoction. How does it fluff up?

The mousse fluffs up when mixing with the immersion blender. It needs to be refrigerated for a number of hours to really firm up. You may need to try a different coconut milk or you can try adding more cocoa powder next time to see if you get a firmer result.

The coconut cream did not whip. I substituted whipping cream & added more cocoa & Swerve.

Easy & delicious! Refrigerating for 3+ hours is necessary for it to set-up nicely. I did 2 cans of Coconut cream, 2 t vanilla extract, 4 T cocoa & 1 dropper full of sweet leaf liquid stevia. Everyone gave it a thumbs up👍🏻

What can I substitute for coconut oil because I don’t like the taste?

            recipewriter 6 years ago

There is no coconut oil in this recipe. If you are referring to coconut milk, you could try it with heavy whipping cream instead and see how that works. Let us know how it goes!

Can I only use a immersion blender?

An immersion blender works best for the mousse, but let us know if you try something else!

Blending 10-15 minutes is some kind of an error. I’ll burn out my blender. Can the writer review this recipe? It doesn’t work out as written

Apologies, it is meant to be blended for 10-15 seconds, or until the coconut milk and cocoa mixture start to slightly thicken and fluff. The texture will continue to change and firm up once it is in the fridge.

? Blend for 10 to 15 minutes? Can't possibly be right
