Keto Shepherd's Pie

719 ratings

No matter the weather, a classic shepherd's pie can bring comfort to anyone eating it. By preparing a recipe of cauliflower mash in advance, you can make a big shepherd's pie that will satisfy a whole family! You don’t have to be on a diet to enjoy this meal, either. A savory meat and veggie filling is topped off with creamy mashed cauliflower and melty cheese.

This was really delicious. I added onion powder and onion flakes and a beef seasoning worth a small can of pass and carrots. The cauliflower mash was kind of a pain to make, but I'll probably try a different process next time. Definitely will make this again!

Awesome recipe. I make this with a 50/50 topping of cauliflower and potato mash for the carbivors (kids). I love recipes that are easily shared between keto and carbo eaters. Leftovers keep well for lunch the next day.

Was lacking flavor, so I added a packet of brown gravy mix and peas. So good!

True, but how did it taste? Was it worth the work, hassle? Was t tasty? Full belly? Giving facts for reverse are more helpful. 🍀

I made this last night. It was good but not much like my traditional shepherd’s pie recipe. My husband missed the bacon that I usually put in mine. It occurred to me that it tasted more like a cheeseburger casserole. When we eat leftovers we might serve on romaine boats with dill pickles and mustard. Overall I’m glad I made it and really glad I did a double recipe which made about 7 dinner sized servings. One head of cauliflower worked for the double recipe of cauliflower mash.

Loved this recipe, I have 2 portions for dinner and take single portions for lunch at work( microwaves really well ) the only thing I added was a beef stock cube. Very tasty and will become a regular for me 9/10👍 serve with a large Gin and Slimline Tonic ☺️

I love Shepherds Pie and when I saw this recipe I had to try it. It's really good! I feel like it could use a keto or low carb gravy with the meat but other than that I was really impressed with how tasty this was. My husband and I both loved it.

Add stewed tomatoes. It gives it more moisture, and it taste more like a more traditional shepherds pie.

This recipe is good and my husband loved it as well. Only callout is that the hamburger doesn’t seem to stay together and there is a lot of grease at the bottom which is probably why. I saw someone else added 3 tbsp of cream cheese to the meat so I will try that next time.

It is delicious but you’re kidding yourself if you claim this recipe feeds 6 people. This is good for 2 people at best. 3/5 for incorrect portions.

Yum! Modified slightly by adding some green beans and celery, along with a massels stock cube. Was delicious and will definitely make again. Portion size perfect for lunch or dinner.

Size for 2 is extremely small. I had to forgo mine in order to let my husband have enough food. Made myself something else.

This recipe was good after a few adjustments. I choose not to add carrots, but added the following...half of a red, yellow & green bell pepper, garlic cloves, onions, celery salt, and garlic powder. Placed cauliflower mash on top and sprinkled with cheese. Delicious!
