Keto Coleslaw Dressing

16 ratings

This low carb, Keto coleslaw dressing is super easy to make and therefore makes it the ultimate Keto coleslaw dressing recipe! Creamy paleo mayo is blended with lemon juice, rice wine vinegar, spicy horseradish, onion powder, country mustard, salt, and freshly cracked black pepper. The creamy, yet slightly spicy dressing is poured over fresh-cut cabbage (or any premade coleslaw mix if you are short on time).

How much coleslaw should I use with this amount of dressing?

If you like heavy dressing, use about 16 oz of coleslaw mix or cabbage if you want a lighter amount of dressing use about 26 oz total cabbage.

Do I have to use horseradish?

No, the horseradish is optional, and you can simply remove it from the recipe if you don’t like it.

What if I do not have rice wine vinegar?

If you do not have rice wine vinegar, you can use white wine vinegar or champagne vinegar instead as they have similar flavors. Another alternative is to use only fresh lemon juice, but the contrast between the two kinds of vinegar is very delicious.

Do I have to toss this in a coleslaw mix?

No, you can save the dressing and use it on top of any other salad mix you would like or toss it on an individual serving of coleslaw mix right before serving, which is excellent if you are the only Keto person in your family.

Suggested pairing

Once you have the dressing made and tossed on cabbage, you can pair coleslaw with this delicious Keto BBQ shrimp recipe https://www.carbmanager.com/recipe/keto-bbq-shrimp-and-asparagus or any other BBQ dish.

This dressing is delicious. I used just enough to coat a bag of coleslaw mix from Trader Joe’s (9 ounces of vegetables). I have a lot of dressing left over for other salads. Just make sure you have *fresh* horseradish. Horseradish loses its punch if it’s been sitting in your refrigerator for a while.

Did I miss the cabbage in the ingredients list? How much cabbage is supposed to be used for the recipe?

No, you did not. This is a recipe for the dressing.

Just made this and it’s so delicious! Was the perfect amount for a 16 oz bag of Cole slaw mix.

This is good. I used only half the recipe and it was more than enough for 16 oz of shredded cabbage.

Same! Coleslaw has to have celery salt. :)

This is a very nice dressing. It’s a bit confusing as to how much the author intends “one portion“ to be, but based on the volume and calories, I’m guessing it’s about 4 Tbs. Normally, I only use 2 Tbs of dressing for any given individual serving of salad, so for me, one portion = 2 Tbs, half that suggested.

My favorite coleslaw dressing recipe. I find it makes enough for another time with another 16 oz of cabbage or for use over salad material. Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe. I didn't change a thing.

I make it with mink fruit and it is awesome in it. I only used a teaspoon then a squirt of liquid stevia. Perfect.

Excellent! However, I used Better Stevia Glycerite in place of the Swerve.
