Low Carb Sweet and Sour Sesame Broccoli
This deliciously simple stir fried broccoli is coated in a sweet, sour and spicy dressing of maple flavored syrup, dried chili flakes, sesame oil and topped with crunchy sesame seeds.
This is a great side dish to accompany sweet and sour pork, chicken or seafood.

Ingredients
Broccoli Florets
3 cups
Lime Juice, Fresh
2 teaspoon
Maple Flavored Syrup by Lakanto
1 tablespoon
Tamari Sauce
1 tablespoon
Garlic
1 clove
Olive Oil
1 tablespoon
Sesame Oil
1 teaspoon
Sesame Seeds
1 teaspoon, whole pieces
Hot Chili Pepper, Dried, With Seeds

Step 1
Add the broccoli to a pan of boiling water. Simmer for 4-5 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a skillet or wok over a low/medium heat. Thinly slice the garlic and sweat gently until tender. Add the broccoli and increase the heat to medium and stir fry for a minute to brown the edges a little.Step 3
Whilst the broccoli is cooking, whisk together the syrup, tamari, sesame oil, lime juice and chili flakes.Step 4
Pour half the sweet and sour dressing over the broccoli and stir fry for a minute more.Step 5
Drizzle the broccoli with the remaining dressing and scatter with sesame seeds to serve.
