  • Garlic

  • Step 1

    Add the green beans to a pan of boiling water and simmer for 4-5 minutes until just tender. Drain completely.

    Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over a medium heat. Roughly dice the bacon and add to the skillet until just cooked through.

    Thinly slice the garlic and add to the pan, sweating gently until tender and the bacon is crisp and golden.
  • Step 4

    Add the green beans, lemon zest, thyme, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine and sauté for 2 minutes. Serve hot.

          Very good. I used 1 TBSP leftover bacon grease instead of Olive Oil. DELICIOUS! The Thyme adds a fresh taste to it. I didn’t have any lemon however this still turned out great.

              This is so delicious! I really don’t even need garlic or lemon but combined with the fresh thyme it just can’t miss!
