Keto Bell Pepper Deli Sandwich

With this recipe, you never need to worry about having Keto bread on hand. Instead, grab a fresh bell pepper from the fridge and fill it with your favorite ingredients. This Keto sandwich is filled with various deli meats, cheese, tomato, and lettuce, making for a healthy, refreshing, and satiating meal.

Is this Keto pepper sandwich healthy?

Whether this Keto sandwich is healthy or not depends on the components. The bell pepper “bread” is low in carbohydrates, full of nutrients and fiber, and easily accessible. It definitely beats any other Keto bread. As for the sandwich filling, choose deli meats free of preservatives, prepared from grass-fed cattle or free-range poultry, and certified organic. You can also omit the cheese and add more veggies to make the sandwich more nourishing.

Which bell pepper color is best for this recipe?

We have opted for yellow bell pepper because its sweetness pairs nicely with the savory cold meats. Since red and yellow bell peppers are sweeter than green, they have more carbs. Choose your preferred type, but keep in mind that some are higher in carbs than others. Also, ensure that the bell pepper is uniform in shape and can easily lay down flat on one side. That way, your sandwich won’t fall over when you place it down on a plate.

What are some other filling suggestions?

You can swap the lunch meats in this recipe with ham, pastrami, bacon, salami, or bologna, or consider stuffing the pepper with cream cheese and lox, tuna salad, or chicken salad. If you are a vegetarian, you can skip the meat and fill the bell pepper with cheese and veggies.

Why not use Organic Fresh and Wholesome Meat in this? Hormel = Processed

You can use any meat you like. I don’t see it saying Hornel anywhere.
