I love how deliciously cheesy these otherwise lower fat turkey burgers are. Beautifully seared turkey burgers ooze with American cheese and taste delicious with a side of vegetables.

Ingredients
Ground Turkey, Lean, 7% Fat (93% Lean Meat)
1 pound
American Cheese Slices
4 slice - each 3/4 ounce
Avocado Oil
1 tablespoon
Coarse Kosher Salt by Morton
½ tsp
Garlic Powder
¼ teaspoon
Romaine Lettuce
6 ounce
Broccoli
10 ounce
Raw Pepitas by Trader Joe's

Step 1
Cover a cutting board on both sides with plastic wrap so it will not slip. Divide ground turkey into 8 pieces and roll each into a tight ball.Step 2
Place another piece of plastic wrap on top of the divided pieces of meat. Place a sheet tray on top of the plastic wrap and press down evenly.Step 3
This will make ⅓” thick rounds.Step 4
Stack the sliced cheeses and cut them into quarters. Place each quarter of the stack onto one flatten piece of turkey.Step 5
Place another piece of flattened turkey on top and pinch the edges together very well and then reform gently into a patty. Then press each with the palm of hand to flatten well (it will shrink while cooking).Step 6
In a large nonstick pan, heat pan until hot and then add avocado oil. Season burgers with kosher salt and garlic powderAdd burgers and cook on the first side for several minutes (about 3-5).Step 7
Flip and repeat on the other side. Temp burgers. They are fully cooked at 165 F.Step 8
Microwave broccoli in a large bowl, covered with plastic wrap for 1 min 45 seconds on high. Arrange juicy lucy burger with romaine lettuce and broccoli.
