Keto Cheese Baked Eggs

27 ratings

These rich and creamy baked eggs are the ultimate breakfast indulgence or would make a great base for lunch accompanied by a simple salad.

Although grated cheddar has been used, this can be replaced like for like with your preferred grated cheese.

Don't forget to butter the ramekins! It'll stick. The whites are still a little runny at 20 minutes. Next time I'll break the yolks and mix a bit. Overall, a nice way to eat eggs. Had a rosemary biscuit with it that I made yesterday. Another Carb Manager recipe. Yum.

Madonna! (Pron: Maw-dawn) This is amazing! I started to prep it just 30 mins ahead of the end of my intermittent fast. Got it in the oven and 16 minutes later I had the best treat at 11am. Thank you so much! I love eggs but I grow tired of them from time to time. Great flavors and texture.

Decadent. The cheese blend was perfect A fresh herb garnish would not go amiss.

When you say Large ramekin...are you assuming about 9 oz? I only have very small ones at 3 1/2 oz. Maybe I can do them in muffin tins. Advice?

I also use a small ramekin- almost holds 4oz. However, I only use one egg. Also, I place my ( well buttered)loaded ramekin in boiling water on top of the stove. Cook for about 7 minutes. Turns out easily onto a plate. Seems perfectly done.

I think those are 9oz. As you said. I can fit two of my 10 oz custard cups in an 8” square cake pan. They aren’t quite perfect bc they aren’t straight sides cups so one tilts just a little. I would think you could use one of the muffin tins that make the large muffins. Those must be almost a cup size.

Delicious. We had it for breakfast with a single side slice of keto bread. Wasn't quite done in 20 mins, so did another 5 to finish off. WARNING: don't finish this off in the microwave. It will explode!

I love this recipe. This morning I just didn’t have time to wait for oven, so I put it all in a cup and followed instructions as if I was doing the recipe for egg and spinach in a cup and tada it probably changes the micro’s though? It’s enjoyable but the oven version is better but in a tight pinch it works

It is very yummy. I ended up adding some garlic, mixed herbs, and bacon to it. Would 100% make again.

It was very good and filling. After the 20 min was up it wasn’t completely done. So I turned it up to 350 for an extra 5 min. It was great.

This recipe calls for medium eggs. How much longer would the cooking time be for large eggs?

I made this and it was delicious. I put all the ingredients in the bowl, mixed it up and microwaved it for 2 1/2 minutes. Saved me time from using the oven because I was in a hurry and it came out perfect.

WARNING: BURN HAZARD. Theres air trapped btw the eggs and cheese so be very careful of the timing when cooking in the microwave. If left too long the egg mixture will either explode inside the microwave or when you take it right out. I got burned on my face and chest while jostling it when I was taking it out of the microwave. The other one exploded while cooking inside. Tastes delicious tho

How many oz. do these ramekins hold? I want to make sure I am using the right size.

After 20 minutes, they still had clear “whites”. Eventually microwaved to get them to set without starving my patiently waiting family. Not impressed by flavor or process. I’ll just stick to scrambled eggs.
