  • Step 1

    Heat the strawberries, basil leaves, granulated Low-Carb sweetener and water together in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally. Press the strawberries and basil leaves with the back of a wooden spoon while heating to release their juices.

    Continue to heat the syrup for 5 to 8 minutes until the sweetener has completely dissolved. Strain out the strawberries and basil leaves. Let the syrup cool to room temperature before using.

    Into glasses add the strawberry syrup then add a handful of ice. Top with sparkling water, a few sliced strawberries and basil leaves and stir well before serving.

    I haven't tried this recipe yet but was wondering where the strawberry syrup and lime fit into the recipe. They are listed in the ingredients but not in the recipe instructions
