  • Step 1

    Add the green beans to a pan of boiling water and simmer for 4-5 minutes until tender. Drain completely.

    Melt the butter in a skillet over a low/medium heat. Thinly slice the garlic and add to the pan, sweating gently until tender. Add the green beans and toss to combine, sauté for a minute.

    Add the lemon juice, zest and thyme and stir well. Cook for a minute more.

    Remove from the heat and scatter with the grated parmesan, toss to combine.

    Beware…this recipe is all wrong! The nutritional content makes it look better for you than it actually is : 3.5 oz of Green Beans (string Beans), Raw is 4g net carbs. The nutritional information listed is for only 1 oz of beans for your serving.

      This recipe says that a serving is3.5 oz but the instructions say it makes 3 servings. So forgive my confusion, but what is the serving size. 1 oz seems very low. Thank s

        The amounts of the ingredients are off. One serving is 3.5 ounces, but recipe has 3 servings but calls for only 3.5 ounces of green beans. 3x3.5 ounces = 10.5 ounces. I made a copy and tripled the ingredient amounts to correct the recipe, which right now makes only 1 real serving. Let me know if my calculation is wrong.

          Seems right. 3.5 oz of green beans total divided by 3 servings seems like 1 oz per serving which seems off.
