Keto Coconut Flour Indian Flatbreads
These coconut flour flatbreads are flavored with Indian inspired seasonings. Baked in the oven, these Keto flatbreads are soft in the center and firm on the outside. Perfect for mopping up Keto curry sauces!
Keto Indian Flatbread Ingredients
These Keto Indian flatbreads are prepared with coconut flour, desiccated coconut, garlic powder, earthy turmeric and aromatic fresh cilantro. Ground flaxseed and xanthan gum is used to bind the bread and help it hold its shape whilst baking.
You can add or adapt the spices and seasoning in the bread if desired, just be sure to adjust your macros accordingly.
Serving Suggestion
These Keto flatbreads are perfect served warm. They are a great sharing board option, ideal for dipping into cooling yogurt dips or zingy salsas. Alternatively serve with Keto curries to soak up all the sauce!

Step 1
Add the coconut flour, ground flaxseed, cilantro, salt, turmeric, garlic powder, xanthan gum and desiccated coconut to a large mixing bowl. Mix together well until fully combined.Step 2
Add the olive oil and a little of the water to the bowl. Mix together with your hands, as you slowly add more water a little at a time, until a dough forms. Set to one side for ten minutes to allow the flour and flax to absorb all the liquid. If the dough feels a little dry and crumbly after this time, add a little more water until you have a soft and pliable dough.Step 3
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a large shallow oven tray with baking paper. Divide the dough into 4 even portions with your hands and roll into balls. Arrange the balls of dough across the baking parchment lined tray and press each one down gently. Use your hands to shape each one into a circle roughly half an inch thick.Step 4
Transfer the tray to the oven and bake for 18-22 minutes. The bread should be firm on the outside, cooked through and golden brown all over. Set aside to cool and firm further before serving.

What can you use instead of the desiccated coconut?

Can we substitute the flaxseed with egg?

Liked these but may be nicer without desiccated coconut? Even though ours was sugarless, the taste was strong. Also next time we’ll make them thinner than half inch.
