Keto Sundried Tomato, Basil And Parmesan Compound Butter
This savory tomato, basil, and parmesan compound butter is part of our collection of Keto flavored butters 6 different ways. Sweet and juicy sundried tomatoes are combined with fresh basil, tangy parmesan, and unsalted butter to create a delicious topping or dressing for your favorite Keto meals. This savory butter makes a great addition to roasted chicken or slathered over a low carb focaccia.
Are Tomatoes Keto?
Tomatoes are slightly higher in carbs than other Keto-friendly veggies. However, when used in moderation, they can be enjoyed as part of a low carb diet. We have used 3 sundried tomatoes for our savory compound butter. This is enough to give flavor without being heavy on the carb count.
What Other Flavor Options Can I Make?
This Keto recipe is part of a series of flavored butters made 6 different ways. We have made a selection of different compound butters - both sweet and savory, which can be found in our sides section. These include walnut and blue cheese, sun-dried tomato, basil and parmesan, manchego and black olive, chocolate, orange and pecan, cinnamon mocha and lemon and herb.

Step 1
Bring the butter up to room temperature so that it is soft and easy to mash. Finely chop the basil and tomatoes. Add the basil, tomatoes, and parmesan to the bowl with the butter. You should not need to add salt as the tomatoes and cheese should provide enough seasoning; however, this is optional.Step 2
Mash the butter, parmesan, tomatoes, and basil together. Ensure the flavorings are evenly distributed throughout the butter. Taste and adjust the flavorings if desired. Be sure to adjust your macros to account for any changes you make to the recipe.Step 3
Scoop the butter from the bowl onto a square of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Shape the butter into a rough log shape with your hands. Roll the paper/plastic wrap tightly up around the butter, securing the ends. Transfer to the fridge to set and firm. This should take roughly two hours. Slice the butter and use as desired.
