I am new to keto and looking for a good bread replacement recipe, this was not it :( not too fond of the taste and I used my scale, thinking that it couldn’t possibly be 12 eggs but dang it it was don’t think I’ll be making this again.

Awful. Fed it to my chickens... I followed the recipe to a T as this was my first time making it. It bakes beautifully. The texture is very fine and crumbles easy. The bread is very, very dry. Do not try to eat this without some kind of liquid. It sticks in your throat when you swallow it, and I nearly choked - not being dramatic. The taste of egg and baking powder is overwhelming. I tried it with tons of butter and even natural peanut butter. There is nothing that is going to cover that much (2Tbsp) baking powder. Will not make again, such a waste of coconut flour and a dozen eggs...

Would it be low carb if I made my old fashioned homemade bread, but use almond flour in place of white flour and use yeast instead of baking powder??? I’m new here and don’t what eggy bread

Yeast needs a sugar to eat. I was advised to use Inulin powder.

Will this toast up like regular bread?

I make a similar bread but instead of whole eggs I use whipped egg whites. No eggy taste at all. Coconut flour has a sweet taste. Almond flour is more grainy even sifted.

How do you store this? Does it need to stay in the fridge due to the eggs?

Can you use banana flour instead of coconut flour

Can I use almond flour instead of coconut flour?

Yes you can but you will need about 3 times as much almond flour as the coconut flour listed. My suggestion would be to use the regular Keto Loaf Bread on this site but sub out the ingredients that would make it Paleo! (Butter for coconut oil etc).

Not good

I think it would be too eggy. I might try 6 eggs. And 6 eggs substitute. 1tbsp ground flax seed to 3 tbsp water equals 1 egg. So do that times 6. Let it congeal in the fridge for 10 min. then add to the batter.
