Low Carb Creamy Turkey Meat Sauce Zoodles
Poultry gives a refreshing taste to an otherwise classic and simple meat sauce! Loads of cream brings in richness and mellows out the tomato flavors. Serve it over zucchini noodles that have been lightly roasted in an oven and make sure to bring plenty of parmesan cheese to the table!

Step 1
Preheat an oven to 400 degrees. Spiralize a large zucchini and spread the pieces out on a seasoned sheet tray. You may also line a sheet tray with parchment, but this may affect your baking time. Bake the zucchini for 15 min. Then, set them aside to cool.Step 2
In a large pot, heat the olive oil and place in the ground turkey. Season the turkey with the salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper. Cook the turkey on high heat until the meat is cooked through, slightly golden, and the pot begins to brown.Step 3
Turn the stove heat down to low and stir in the tomato paste so it coats all the turkey. Stir in the heavy cream and chopped basil. Close the lid over your pot and let simmer for 3-4 minutes.Step 4
Stir in the chicken broth and bring the pot to a simmer once again. Leave the lid off this time and openly simmer for 10 minutes. Once reduced, turn the stove heat off. Stir the zucchini noodles into the meat sauce before serving. This recipe was served with shredded parmesan and fresh basil!

Needs a lot more of a heavier hand on that seasoning. Very bland until I added some Italian seasoning, and more of all the other seasonings (like a teaspoon more of each—except salt was only about another 1/2 teaspoon). I like food with some punch to it.

Very yummy.. I just put zoodles in bowl and poured mixture over. Add a little spice or so to your liking.. delicious!
